Special School’s Differently-Abled Children Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with De-Addiction Centre Patients

Event Details

The differently-abled children of Amaltas Special School celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan this year in a special and inspiring way. On this occasion, they tied rakhis to patients admitted to the De-addiction Centre of Amaltas Hospital, spreading a message of brotherhood, love, and togetherness.

The children decorated the wrists of the patients with colourful, handmade rakhis and offered sweets to convey festive greetings. In this emotional moment, the patients also blessed the children and wished them a bright future.

This Raksha Bandhan, the children took another unique initiative by preparing rakhis themselves, which people are buying to take home. Even though these innocent children may not fully understand the world’s customs, their heartfelt spirit for loved ones and message of self-reliance are a true inspiration for society.

Principal of the school, Dr. Bharati Lahoria, shared that with the dedicated efforts of the school management, doctors, and staff, along with regular practice, the children are now enthusiastically creating beautiful rakhis on their own.

Chairman of the Amaltas Group, Mayankraj Singh Bhadoriya, said, “Our AIMS is to make the children self-reliant through physical, mental, and behavioural therapy, so that they can create a special place for themselves in society.
